    SKS is unbeatable for what it is. It will shoot anything you can properly chamber, and never jam. The chrome lined bore lasts forever. Honestly, whats not to like? (of course I bought mine when they were $88.00)

    As long as you will never need optics, I would recommend it. It is easily the most reliable gun I own, but maybe not the most accurate (but an 8" spread at 100 yards with open sights ain't too shabby)

    I have heard the cleaning kit tube is the blank adapter for the SKS ; the notched end slips over the barrel with a twist it locks on.

    The cleaning rod is locked in by the bayinet cam.

    Do you have the cleaning kit?it should be in the buttstock

    I need to take the rubber piece off and see what in there. It has the window but I dont think the kit is in it.

    Red! What do you mean you dont have the barrel end?? Make something up!!! Im going to order that kit and shoot golfballs out of mine soon. ixlr8 yugo sks arent chromed lined for the most part. They didnt have a steady supply of it. My yugo happens to be one that dosent have a chromed line barrel. Mines made back in 1963.
